Could you tell us how you went from a zero to a hero?

My life till the age of 24 was mess. I hated studies and hence I was poor in studies. I was often cursed that I will not succeed in life. I was considered good for nothing. Somehow I managed to get into B.Com in University but I failed my final year paper. Even after two attempts I could not get through the exam. People started accusing me of wasting my life but I did not bother. At the age of 24 I came to know Lord. I learned about the promises of God and realised that God has something beautiful for everyone. I believed that the God who raised Lazarus from death can surely renew everything in my life. In Jeremiah 29:11 God said to me "For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Ever since I started living according to his plan all the doubts and fears were cleared. God blessed me with everything. I attempted my B.Com exams again and with the help of Holy Spirit I cleared them in one shot. I got a job and by the age of 29 I was the General Manager of automobile sales company and the company went from 35th to 1st in India.  Our sales team was the number one in India and I was awarded the Best General Manager award, all due to the mighty hand of God.

During the retreat you had talked about having an aim in life. As Christian’s what should be our aim?

In Matthew 6:33 Jesus says “Set your hearts first on the kingdom and Justice of God and all these things will be given to you” Our only focus in life should be Jesus. Be in Jesus and be with Jesus. There is nothing more important than God. God our father will provide us all our needs. When we move away from God and move into the worldly things we are confronted by fear, agony and Confusion.

Teenage is a time of turbulence where people have unstable emotions, fear, confusion etc. How can a Christian Youth get through it and become a good adult?

The answer to this question is Psalm 119:9 “How can a young people remain pure? By living according to your word” Thus by reading the word of God, understanding it and following it in life young people can lead a pure life.  Hebrew 4:12 says” For the word of God is living and effective and sharper than any two edged sword. The word of God can work miracles in the life of youth. Jesus and Mary are the models for the youth. When they were young they glorified God and grew in wisdom and knowledge. Hence teenagers of today should follow the footsteps of Jesus and Mary.

 How did God lead you to marriage? Could you share your dreams and convictions regarding family life? 

God led me to marriage by calling me to an evangelist. I then understood through the evangelist that marriage or whatever we do, we must do it for the glory of God. So God led me to a girl and I conveyed my message that my plan in life was to “Serve God” and asked her to join me if she was willing. She was not with Jesus and I brought her to Jesus. Prayer brought the knowledge to me that it is God’s plan for every couple to have children, as it is the call of marriage. That is how God blesses every couple. Whoever obeys God will be blessed with children and the richness of the world. As Psalm 127:3 says, “Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward”, so in other words the more children you have the more blessing is upon you. 

You have lost two children during childbirth, what is your attitude towards this struggle and others that your family goes through?

 Sometimes God allows some failure or struggles to come in your life to help grow in the Spirit. Through suffering we grow into a higher level of Spirituality. When you accept this through Jesus it will be a blessing Spiritually. It happens due to a careless life but remember that God does not take life so we must pray to protect children in their mother’s womb. How do you manage such a big family being so fully active in the ministry and in your profession? We are called as children of God to do one thing, as Matthew 6:33 says, “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things will be added unto you”. So if we seek the kingdom of God and allow your life to be led by the Holy Spirit and practice every word God has told you to do, then it is God’s duty to bring everything you need into your life and he will do it. It is not my business to look after my family, it is God’s grace that helps me to do this ministry and look after my family. 

How would you describe your life with God in one word? Why? 

Successful. Well, I am a successful Father, Husband, Businessman and Minister of the Lord. To “Be successful” is what is God’s plan for everyone. As Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for wholeness and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope” the Lord has plans for me as a Father, Son and as a Husband. 

Do you have any message for the youth of today especially in a time when many youths are moving away from God?

The youth of today needs focus in their life. Without an aim you cannot achieve anything in life. Hence satan always tries to take way your focus.  Youth need an aim in Spiritual realm as well as in the world realm. It is said that out of 100 people only 3 have an aim in life and out of the 3 only one writes it down. This one person achieves his aim and he is the one who will rule the rest 99. The youth have bright future. They are created in the image of God. Sky is the only limit for them.

We human beings use only 0.001% of our potential. We are mediocre in case of the efforts that we take.  Hence often we have to get contented with the poor results. Youth should set a focus in their lives and should use all their talents and capabilities to resolve the problems of the world. They can change the whole world and bring Peace and Joy to the world.
